My buddy just picked up a 2003 m sport 540i. Incredible how well built it feels over 20 years later. So comfortable, quick and super fun.

E39 m5 with 240K mileage. Are they reliable at that kms?
Or pick something like e92/e90 for same price and lower kms.

Yah but ZERO panache / street cred
E39 5-series is also probably my top 3 for best looking BMW's ever, masculine and just the right stance... E9x is way way way down that list (just me personally)

The E90 M3 looks okay, but the rest just seem so dull. I think it was Top Gear that described them as just "14 feet of car."

The E46, E39 generation is peak BMW to me. To other's it may depend on how highly you hold the 850 and 635csl.

Nothing could touch BMW from like 1976-2004 when it came to cars in the same class. Not the case anymore.

*Eurobeat intensifies*
If it's clean underneath that's prime for a Formula Atlantic swap.

I still don't understand the fascination with those cars besides the cartoon.
I've drive the sedan with a new motor and it's a 35 year old corolla.

i dont know much about these cars but loved the anime growing up.
is that a actual ae86? seems like a good price for a clean/stock example, unless the auto trans is hurting the price?!

Essentially paying 15K for a chassis if its rust-free. The SR5 engine is crap, and the tranny is auto. You would have to engine swap, tranny swap, and do all the wiring.

IMO even on GTS, need to get swap to black/silver top with ITB for the right sound … or a BEAMS (but would need new trans)
