Considering a new 911GTS goes for over $300k after tax the Porsche Drive program is a steal (if you have the money and time). Would I rather rent a 911 once a month each year or buy a used ND Miata for $30k and keep it for 6 years? Since I don't really need a second car year round it seems like the 911 is a great deal.
I would go GTS to scratch that itch and see if it's really what you want; you been talking about a targa for years
458/Performante ended up being more my cup of tea after driving em, gotta set my sights higher now
Thinking about splitting the 2x GTS amongst 4 guys for a bro-trip down PCH.
That's insane value for $5K/2,500KM or splitting it 3-4 ways for the summer!
That'd be a great way to do it. Depending on what the overage fee is like you'd need 2 months to get the mileage to do it, but split with a buddy it'd be ~$4200 each to do it in a 911 or ~$2700 for a Cayman instead of your own vehicle which isn't too bad. It's certainly cheaper than the normal way of getting to do that drive with a Porsche and having to buy it lol.

That would definitely be new. I've looked up renting GT3s or Ferraris on trips before. Never done it, but they were there. That would pretty much limit turo to model 3s and civics these days.

Be no more than 12 years old, with exceptions for “specialty” or “classic” vehicles
Have fewer than 200,000 kilometres
You must maintain your vehicle and continue to meet our maintenance and safety standards as your vehicle ages
Once listed, vehicles that reach or exceed 200,000 km may remain listed if they’re in excellent condition and continue to meet all legal, safety, and mechanical standards
Have a fair market value of up to $150,000
Turo provides coverage for the actual cash value (ACV) of the vehicle, up to $150,000
Turo uses a third-party vendor to determine vehicle value at the time of listing
Read more about vehicle coverage limits
Have a clean (e.g., not a “branded” or “salvage”) title
You’re responsible for knowing your vehicle’s title history
If you don’t, get a vehicle history report from Carfax before listing on Turo
Has never been declared a total loss
