Tell them RS beat down crew will break their fuckin legs.

Badhobz 01-03-2025 10:35 PM

Yah ! Fuck these wackos. We fight !!!!

68style 01-03-2025 10:43 PM

Whatever you do don't answer the door when they come... might try to goad you into something if they're that psychotic.

Traum 01-04-2025 01:30 AM

What do these 2 persons think they can achieve by coming to your house to harass you? A call to the 911? Police busting their a$$es? A restraining order put against their names to not come within 100m of where BIC_BAWS is?

Don't need rush into something that may or may not happen. Seeking a help from lawyers would be a waste of his money which is against all the suggestions made to help him manage his finances.

Maybe ex-bosses should lawyer up because ex-bosses just got threaten by the RS beat down crew. :concentrate:

CivicBlues 01-04-2025 09:50 AM

My advice is invite them over with open arms but set up a series of increasingly intricate and deadly traps a la Home Alone.

Is that a thing? I feel like nowadays, you can assault someone and nothing will happen as long as nothing broke/injured. Feels like everyone is getting away with everything

SSM_DC5 01-04-2025 02:37 PM

Likely nothing will happen but a lawyer will gladly still take your money for the consult/advice

Mikoyan 01-04-2025 11:05 PM

If they show up, only talk if your with Ring/Nest/eufy/anker/wyse doorbell camera/security camera is capturing video and audio.

BC is a one party consent needed for recording, so as long as you're present, and you consent, you don't need to notify anyone you're recording.

JDMDreams 01-05-2025 06:21 PM

Bad hobz when they come disrespect your family :lawl:

You can disrespect my family all you want. They are trash.

You say shit about chicken lady or Costco or my remaining chihuahua and somebody’s gotta go!!!!

Week 1 is done. First day at my new job, my direct manager got fired. That was the only exciting thing. Now I know why people complain about government inefficiencies.

Day 1: Had 2 meetings back to back, totaling 2 hrs. Took a nap while waiting for access to info. Then did some research that created more things that I need access to.

Day 2: Still waiting for access. Wasn't all that productive. Went into a meeting. Still need access to processes.. or do I just build from scratch at this point. On one hand I want to send another follow up email for access cause I don't like being unproductive, but I don't want to come off as pushy. On the other hand, I could just build it from scratch even though there could be existing processes and systems. Kinda hard to do my job when there are so many roadblocks.

Is this what working for a normal company feels like? I've done fuck all, I'm bored, and I might just start looking for my next role LOL. I'm so used to hitting the ground running, working at 300% for 8 hrs straight, that this is so boring to me.

underscore 01-11-2025 05:37 PM

Same deal when I started my current job. After 11 years of knowing exactly how everything worked, the first couple weeks somewhere new was super slow while everything got set up and I got access to various things.

Sounds about right. Longest it took was about 3 weeks to actually get a real first task.

Badhobz 01-11-2025 07:08 PM

You dumb ass kid ! Enjoy the lull. Ideally your entire job is like that and then you can fuck around on RS all day and dick off to Costco on company time. Doesn’t that sound good ?!?

bcrdukes 01-11-2025 07:26 PM

That sounds like the perfect job and it will take some time to get used to.

Now you can take the FK8 and use it as a parts delivery vehicle on the side during work hours. :D

Many years ago, a bunch of people at work I knew would have a closed-circle contest on who could do the most personal things during work hours. There was a guy who ran his photography business for three years straight, doubling his salary, but eventually got fired after he got caught. He became an alcoholic and sometimes asks me to borrow money for booze. :lol

I was too chicken to take these risks as a visible minority, so I never partook in their antics. :okay: Badhobz is opposite of this. Be more like Badhobz. Ideally, he should be your idol and mentor.

Badhobz 01-11-2025 08:11 PM

Yah but I’ve been doing this kinda horseshit for years….

I used to stop the train on the crosswalk at venebles to go get ice cream at that gelato place. Blocking all these super angry motherfuckers trying to get on Clarke or go viaduct to downtown.

Made me laugh every time.

Legally we are allowed to stop for any reason, no matter how mundane for 10 minutes !!!! And if I move the damn train two inches, it resets for another 10 minutes.

Jerk! That's my route to and from downtown! Around 10am can expect a train to cross

Badhobz 01-12-2025 09:22 AM

My ice cream was more important !!!

mikemhg 01-12-2025 09:53 AM

The trick is keep your mouth shut.

Don't tell your collogues where you're going, what you're doing, or anything they don't need to know.

They're not your friends -- if you're doing something on work hours that you shouldn't be, keep it to your damn self or someone will rat you out eventually.

People gossip, people get jealous, there is nothing to gain by telling too much.

68style 01-12-2025 12:25 PM

^ This… I’m a total people pleaser and I can’t stand it when I think someone doesn’t like me… it took me way too long to learn that unless you’re homies with the person or persons outside of work as well, peope at work / work friends are only your friends as long as you’re useful to them to maintain their position or move up in it or make more $$$ and as soon as you’re not or they perceive you doing better than them in any way they’ll slit your throat and feed you to the lions to get square again or leapfrog you.

I never say shit to anyone I work with anymore after some horrid experiences and they ask questions about anything it’s 1 word answers until they prove they’re not just there for their own interests and even then I wouldn’t give anything up. Help out and be nice and cordial but don’t ever admit you got free time or what you’re away for, etc.

bcrdukes 01-12-2025 06:51 PM

Remember that time when someone tried to stab you in the back? Good times. :lol

Typical. Throughout the last several years that I've worked with them, they have always felt the need to get "one up" or the last word on any situation with anyone.

LOL one of the owners called me with someone else's phone number because she needed "closure" and that she noticed her calls/texts weren't going through to me (I blocked them and had to pick up because I'm in a sales role now). She asked me if I had been getting her calls/texts and I said I was having issues with my phone.

I basically sat there on the phone for 40 minutes listening to her talk about how much of a shock it was to them - "it was like a kick in the tooth/slap in the face" (granted I did leave w/o notice) since we've "been like family for the past 6 years:, that she's been feeling all these negative emotions (anger, resentment, etc), how she saw it coming because I was so disconnected in December so the way I left must have been premeditated. Oh and that my resignation letter/email was unacceptable because it was so cold and I shouldn't have used chatgpt for it (lady do you really want to hear me ramble).

Now I gotta unblock her number and just dodge the calls instead. They have a few questions with applications that they don't understand so I asked her to email me a list. I did however mention to her that I have zero interest in talking to her husband who I know for a fact will just get angry, blow up on me and make me listen to him bitch for several hours. I do feel bad for her tho cause if her husband wasn't such of a POS, I would have given 6 months notice if I could and assisted in the hiring process to ensure that my projects/knowledge gets handed off smoothly.

It sucks cause I always find empathy and see the little bit of good in people and I know that deep down they mean well. They just suck shit at executing it.

tl;dr: If a company advertises a "family environment"... run.

JDMDreams 01-16-2025 03:13 PM

Do you also get pizza and pop?

CivicBlues 01-16-2025 03:13 PM

WTF man, just end it. Cut off all contact, block all their numbers, file a restraining order. You owe these people nothing. They paid you for your services, when you quit the employment contract is broken and null and void.

Would you entertain a crazy ex-GF the same way?
