2025 Formula 1 Thread

So now that we are in the off season and heading into the 2025, this was just announced.

Not surprised Liam will be in the 2nd seat for red bull.

Slight recap on who's in and who's out for next year's season.

Driver's that are out are Checo, Valterri, Zhou, Franco

The ones that are coming in are as follows
Kimi Antonelli to Mercedes
Jack Doohan to Alpine
Oliver Bearman to Haas
Gabriel Bortoleto to Sauber

And the ones that are moving to different teams are as follows
Carlos to Williams
Lewis to Ferrari
Esteban to Haas
Nico to Sauber

Currently unannounced is the 2nd seat for VCARB, which is most likely going to go to Isack Hadjar from F2

Anyone else going to any races next year? Going to Montreal again to watch Lewis in the scarlet red Ferrari.

EvoFire 12-19-2024 10:31 PM

I just want to make the first page.

I am curious how many races Lawson would last.

Same, by creating the thread in the first place :lawl:

Hopefully he lasts a full season

Then again, we all saw Gasly and Albon getting the harsh boot from Red Bull

Going to Australia!!!! :awwyeah:

Super excited I managed to convince the wife to "visit her friend in Melbourne" while the dates exactly lined up with when the race was happening.

68style 12-20-2024 07:26 AM

Fast forward to supa sitting at brunch with his wife and her friend trying to hide his phone below the table watching the race on some Aussie cafe's wifi after she told him they're taking the kids on safari and didn't go all the way to the other side of the world to watch cars drive around in circles.

You're mixing users and continents there

I'm the one going to Australia, I have no kids, and also Safaris are in Africa not Australia lmao

EDIT: At first my wife's friends were interested and then were turned off by the ticket prices lol

Going to try to go to Vegas given things seem more affordable this time around

With the Bottas signing, I dunno like was the Stake car that bad? While he was with the Sauber team I can’t remember a single time he was even in a fight, felt like he lost the passion for racing so I’m kind of surprised Merc would take him back even as a reserve

The Sauber car was absolute dogshit this year, if Williams wasn't so busy crashing Sauber would be dead last.

EvoFire 12-20-2024 09:28 AM

^ I cannot believe how many times Williams wrecked this year. All three drivers were wrecking balls holy shit.

Even better is that Australia is back to being the season opener!

The world is healing.

Last minute tickets are key for Vegas, like a month(3-4 weeks) leading up to the race is where hotel prices bottom out and you can find last minute tickets a week before.

I saw paddock prices drop to around $4k and was going to fly down there last minute, but sadly, passport is stuck with CP.

Christmas present from Ferrari for Carlos. A Daytona SP3. A parting gift from Ferrari before Carlos and Alex Albon race for Williams next year.

Pretty sure Sainz still paid for it in full, just that he got fast tracked to get his car done ahead of others...

I assume the "gift" from Ferrari is to let him and his dad drive around Fiorano

This is good though, I am sure Sainz will be back in the Ferrari seat in the late 2020's if he wants to stick around.

He is shown to be a solid driver for the team, it was just unfortunate circumstance of somehow the star alinging for Lewis and Ferrari so he became the casualty of the affair. I can understand from all sides (Lewis, Ferrari, Sainz and Leclerc)

Still very exciting though!

dark0821 01-24-2025 10:49 AM

Really guys? Not a single post about LH in Red?

All my feeds, English or Chinese has been filled with photos, vids, predictions, analysis and everything lololol

https://www.topgear.com/sites/defaul...216fc78fb7.jpg

So... how is Ferrari gonna develope their car now since LH and CL have very different driving styles....

pastarocket 01-24-2025 10:53 AM

Somebody got into an accident while driving Lando Norris' Ferrari F40.

Lando was partying in Dubai when the accident happened in Monaco.

https://driving.ca/auto-news/crashes...ando-norris-uk

All the same, when not one but two Ferrari F40 supercars are involved in separate incidents across a relatively short time-frame, weÂ’re obliged to pour one out. These wonderful pieces of machinery from the late Â’80s saw a production run of just over 1,300 examples, and these days fetch between CDN$3.5 million and $5 million.

The first wreck to mention is of an F40 belonging to none other than Formula One super-star Lando Norris, though it allegedly wasnÂ’t Norris behind the wheel during this prang. Apparently, he was not even in the country at the time, instead partying it up in Dubai for New YearÂ’s following the end of festivities on the F1 calendar.

Hondaracer 01-24-2025 02:43 PM

Will admit LH looks pretty bad ass in the Ferrari back in the yellow helmet

SkinnyPupp 01-24-2025 04:17 PM

I'll be checking out this season for Lewis in Ferrari. Skipped the second half of 24 although it sounds like it got interesting in terms of the Constructor championship

HonestTea 01-25-2025 09:47 AM

I love that he's going back to the yellow helmet design.
