That's a huge calorie deficit and is not for everyone. Please follow with caution.

restrictive for goku or both me and goku?

red kryptonite 02-20-2025 04:26 PM

lol 1000-1250 calories is like one meal at times.

ssjGoku69 02-21-2025 10:46 AM

Yeahh, that was tough, it was like 2 meals per day with some fruits and veggies as snacks and I was constantly hungry. I did that for about 2.5 months during the summer 2024 and lost a total of 17 lbs, but have regained 7 lbs since the baby was born.

Now I'm exercising at the office gym after work 2-3 times per week and am been too lazy to track calories. I'm just trying to reduce overeating. Those comments are really useful though. I've made protein shakes but they're pretty gross that it sometimes makes me feel like puking. Maybe the fruity pebbles flavour isn't the best.

if you do tons of cardio then you can eat anything you want. take up running, do a half marathon program, once you're doing like 30-40km/week you can pretty much eat anything and still lose weight.

68style 02-21-2025 11:52 AM

^ This... but you also can't keep any muscle on at all so if that's your goal do not do this hahaha

My nutritionist showed me how to make protein shakes WAY easier to take, I had a similar problem to you. I used to fill a shaker with water and put one scoop in. It was SO hard to get through, way too much water.

If you use a shaker:
- Fill the shaker 1/2 full (300-350MLish)
- Put two scoops of protein in + a heaping scoop of creating
- SLAM IT.

I do this x2/day at the moment, which is aggressive but as mentioned I'm prepping for a comp. I always feel way better doing 2/day, especially when training hard.

story time:
for the past couple weeks ive found myself next to the same girl on the stationary bike. today she reached over and upped the level a couple of clicks and said "ive been watching you half ass your workout long enough". wow, way to call me out.

Traum 02-22-2025 10:53 PM

If there is anything left of my single male instinct, that would have been your cue to "take things up a notch" with this girl.

In Badhobz's voice, I'll say this -- DESTROY HER!

Badhobz 02-23-2025 02:57 AM

Finish her !!!!!!! Friendship style first then babyality

If your goal is to lose weight you definitely don't want all those milk calories. Mix isolate protein with fresh fruit and distilled water, I'd suggest throwing in a half serving of Vege Greens too. If you use chocolate protein use something like coconut flavoured greens. Lean, clean, and delicious. Every cup of milk is over 100 cal so consider what that means to burn that off at the gym.

sonick 02-24-2025 10:56 AM

Unless u get that new Coca-Cola created magic Fairlife milk that has like 48g of protein per serving and tastes delicious.

Need to be conscious of the fact this is really hard on your liver... should try to stick to the recommended amount of water to add to each scoop of protein for that reason.

It's hard for me to gain weight so I always hover between 145 and 155lbs. It's far easier for me to lose weight than gain but I was able to gain 3lbs over the holiday break.

At my age, not concerned about weight but rather, my gene pool that can fit in a thimble.

My GF hit 5.7 on her A1C test 1.5 months ago. She (and I) both have family history of diabetes. Needless to say she went full on course correction with meals and exercise. She's eliminated carbs and she's visibly getting slimmer while gaining muscle fitness. She has another 1.5 months to go so she's hoping to score lower on her next test.

My brother was diagnosed with diabetes in early 2023 and almost died due to no diagnosis. He just rolled on with life until he started sleeping 11 hours a day. Finally went to a walk in clinic where they told him his blood is toxic and he has an extremely high chance of a heart attack.

Now, he's on Ozempic. People think they're invincible until they realize they're just human.

Update:

My GF got the results from her latest bloodwork. She went from a 5.9 (I incorrectly wrote 5.7 above ^) to a 5.5 in 3 months. The doctor was very surprised to see such a result. I think she's too thin now for her height but she'll make adjustments to keep some weight on.

I guess having a genetic predisposition can direct one to a more focused directive and, additionally, an enlightening experience along the way.

She doesn't even miss the highly processed food including the white rice she used to gorge. Just one cup of brown rice every 1 or 2 days.

I haven't promised to give up fries yet...

^ One of the biggest parts of the meal prep work she's been doing is just controlling portions too! Glad to hear it
