So my whole philosophy for the gear was to make it light and portable. I was gonna just buy a rx100 and take that for vacations but I figure an interchangeable lens system has more flexibility. Of course there is gonna be trade offs, no way will it ever get those tact sharp images like skinny pup or nvm or ray ray. But it’s so dsmn small with a 18-50 that I’m pretty sure it’s perfect for travel.
i took my Rx-100 v3 to Mexico last month. haven't used it in years. great little camera.
Every hobby thread on Revscene turns into "this is the expensive thing I want to buy"
Go take some pictures with what you have, I'm sure it's good enough!
What a ghastly thought. You would have me to enrobe my artiste hands around a body of wretched materials? Like Artico leather?
What's next, you'll force an APS-C lens on me. It's not even full frame HAHA where is the soul in this?? What color is it even, I don't think it's white!

So while i was shooting this forest puppy, this fellow geezer came along and stood right next to me with his R3 or R1 and a HUGE... and I MEAN HUGE!!!! white penis lens with a red stripe on it....
He looked at me, i looked at him, and it turned into that YOU CALL THIS A KNIFE!?!?! situation....
anyways i ran away... eruhh slowly (cuz i cant run that fast) a few meters away from him. Then i catch him in the corner of my eye sitting on the ground and propping the penis lens up with his knee. I guess that setup is really heavy.
Pretty sure his picture will show up in richmond news shortly.

if you prefer a big black one, check out Sigma's 300-800.
I've never seen a coyote with such a nice coat! Every single one that I've come across in person is a slim or shaggy looking thing, with a face that looks a lot less wolf-like.
Mind you, they cross breed enough that all coyotes have some wolf genes in them anyway. (Plus a tiny bit of dog genes as well)

Saw some near harbourside dog park in North van at the end of fell. Actually saw an otter up on the dock at the yacht club eating a fish. It was cool. But that said, I've seen them twice in 8 years of walking that path at least twice a week.

I've seen a family of river otters between the community gardens and nearby pedestrian bridge of Colony Farm Park. A regular park visitor told me that he often sees them on the east side of the bridge, in the wide ditches.
Maybe also try Lighthouse Park in West Van to see if there are otters there.
Any place that has man made rock embankments that goes into the ocean would be a place to find river otters.
Marine biologists call them river otters because this kind of otter is the more common sighting in the GVRD.
Sea Otters? You'll need travel to Vancouver island.
I saw river otters at the Minnekhada Park in Coquitlam last year in the big pond area. Watch out for a bear near that pond too!
I literally do not plan on buying another vehicle in my lifetime, assuming it doesn't get written off.

We go to a cabin near Logan lake and one day I was laying on the dock and heard all this squeaking under it. I look through the deck boards and there’s a set of eyes looking back up at me like wtf?! What is that
I stand up and a mother otter and a few little babies swim away like they would at the aquarium looking back up at me from underwater. Fucking bizarre fresh water otters in the middle of nowhere near Kamloops. Been going there for 30+ years and never once seen an otter so I’ve gotta wonder if someone brought them there. Although fresh water otters do exist I have no clue how they would have got there. It’s basically as high up as you can get with no rivers or streams that really feed into it

There are also rabbits littered all over Richmond. I often see them near the airport.

I still remember my first time doing a night dive at Whytecliff with seals beside me; trying to hunt for fish using my dive light. Very memorable.
But diving with sea lions and they coming up at your is another thing.
This was me at Race Rocks in Victoria... They younger sea lions are playful and will try to nibble at your fins ...
One of you fucking cowards needs to do a night tour of the DTES and get some sick shots. I'd do it, but I'm poor and living in the middle of buttfuck, nowhere B.C. at the moment.
