ITT we post the book we are currently reading... |
Whats a book!? |
I will be posting my 3 books, for free, for Revscene to read and review later tonight. No paywalls, no catch. My raw, unfiltered storytelling straight from my fucked up brain to yours. Even if you don't personally like me, you can't deny that something is off in the modern dating scene. My intuition tells me that most men feel the current pulling us into deeper waters. If you're an old fart like me at 46, you already know... dating isn't what it used to be. It's a rigged game, and the house always wins. Smartphones changed everything. They created power imbalances so massive that the rich and powerful have turned human connection into a commodity, weaponized against you. The 'battle of the sexes' was a term coined in the 1950s, and brothers, that fight has gone nuclear. Swiping apps have become digital casinos where men are the gamblers and women are the house, collecting attention like chips and banking on your loneliness. The average guy burns through his coins like a desperate addict pulling the handle on the slot machine. Just. One. More. Time. And the result? Fewer relationships. Fewer marriages. Way fewer children. Birth rates are tanking worldwide. Canada's fertility rate just hit 1.33 births per woman, the lowest ever recorded. Don't even look at South Korea, who just lived through a feminist cult in government, but that's another post... We are below replacement level. People are too distracted, too disconnected, too jaded and most are too poor to build families anymore. And the elites? They love it. Isolated, lonely, depressed people are easier to control. Besides, there are billions of people waiting in line to come here and work at Subway. So yeah, laugh at me, hate me, whatever, I'm used to it. But if you're going to talk shit, at least read what I wrote. Because something is deeply broken, and my soul was pushed by some unseen force to put thumbs to the screen of my iPhone notes app to figure out why. The PDFs drop tonight. |
I havent read a book since grade 9. After that, spark notes came out and you could write an entire essay off a summarized one page document :fullofwin: Books are a thing of the past |
Highly disagree with that. Books are a great way to practice your mental focus in a world where we just consume content that is seconds or minutes long. Also when i read any book worth reading i usually broaden my vocabulary by a few words. However not all books are worth reading…lifes too short for crappy books. |

Reading is one of the best way to expand your knowledge. This is the one I finished reading the other day. Highly recommended. https://www.amazon.com/Ego-Enemy-Rya.../dp/1591847818 Also a great method to practice Mindfulness. |
Actually got back into reading fiction books again because of a show (The Expanse). As with most men of a certain age I only really read non-fiction if and when I did read a physical book. https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/a2a...0&odnBg=FFFFFF Highly recommend the series and the books. For those who don't know The Expanse on Amazon Prime is based off of a series of books. They've adapted 6/9 books (nice) so this is book #8 which will eventually conclude the story. |
where's the drop |

I map the abandoned places, trace the scars of fighters who never healed, and script the downfall of men who thought they were untouchable. The sun shines, the trees grow, and the dreamers sleep… but in the end, the night belongs to freaks like me. Your gift comes when your head hits the pillow, because that’s when I bloom. See you when the sun drags itself from the grave. |
Well, well, well. After blowing the dust off a 10-year-old PDF, I'm staring at this mess of fucked up chapters and half-thought-out titles like some bastardized riddle. I have a print version of the book in front of me, but, somehow, the PDF file doesn't match what's on the pages. The file’s fucked. Somehow this shit is all out of order, like a vending machine some drunk jackass beat senseless trying to get a diet coke or a condom for a fat chick he's with after the bar's closed. If I’m gonna bleed all over for the assholes of a car enthusiast forum, it better be at least polished enough. Maybe too much polish will invite a big fat log to be dumped on it, like a shiny porcelain bowl. Either way, I'm about to show ya'll every scar laid bare, nothing to hide behind. Tomorrow’s definitely going to be a blur of rent-paying activities and bullshit, a struggle from the time my sorry ass wakes up until the sun goes down, but once that’s dealt with, I’ll grab a bottle of shitty gas station vodka, pick up a half-assed joint from the local moron, and get back to the literary grind. Life is about giving the assholes around me something that doesn’t just blow smoke up my own ass, but something you can vibe with on a deep level. So many men are feeling the crushing weight of society, I don't know this, it just hits me on the level of my intuition. My books weren't written to pump myself up, I wrote because there are things most people won’t say out loud. I did it for the truth that gets buried, because most people just try and play nice. Life is much harder for most people in 2025, and I knew it would be this way when I first wrote down my hedonistic-fueled tales of debauchery. Expect this cluster fuck of my three books to go live somewhere between the witching hours of Friday night and early Saturday morning. It's not so much an obsession with perfection, but just the fact is that any author should feel like a piece of shit if they cop a squart and lay a deuce out without much effort put in. It's a book that I wrote 13+ years ago and I don't want it to be all fucked up if you're trying to read it. RevScene deserves more than that. See ya'll tomorrow at 3:33 AM. |

Currently reading this: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/...445_SX342_.jpg It's about how search data, and online activity can be utilized to formulate profiles on people, and how that information can be used for political campaigns. A peak into how psyches work. Interesting stuff. |
