CTR, Golf R etc have the same uninspiring 4cylinder sound. An AMG V8 rumble sounds special and makes you “brick up” (gen z term)

Also acceleration and speed has been too refined on modern sports car that nowadays I feel it’s funner to drive a slow car fast.

It’s loud as fuck inside, it’s handles quite nicely even if the steering is garbage compared to the 997 (super light but you can still place it wherever you want it). It’ll fix your sports car needs…. Even if it’s completely over priced, overrated, unrefined, unreliable, ugly as fuck and if you own one, you’re probably a douche bag
On the upside, as more enthusiasts get forced into Porsches, that turns into "you're just possibly a douche bag". A normy could live with that.

Thanks again for everyone’s feedback. I loved my last 2016 F80 6 speed manual BMW M3 and it was a blast to drive but unfortunately I traded it in 5 1/2 years ago for 2019 for a Tesla model 3 performance. The model 3 has served us well but is definitely a boring appliance that is fast, easy to drive, and convenient and cheap to charge at home. My wife loves the Tesla so we will keep it so I am just deciding which second car to have for taking out for fun drives and just to cruise around in.

I am leaning towards keeping the Taycan Cross Turismo because of the it’s great looks, speed, comfort, and the way it corners with the low battery, rear wheel steering, torque vectoring, and dynamic chassis control. I have gone down the rabbit hole of watching some YouTube G80 6 speed M3 videos and that looks like fun also. The M3 in isle of green exterior and kyalami orange interior looks great!

By the way, I traded in my 2016 M3 5/12 years ago for $45,000 for our $75,000 Tesla model 3 performance and it looks like today 5/12 years later the M3 is still worth about the same amount I traded it in for while the Tesla is worth less than $30,000.

spacemanrick - If time and money permits, do a shakedown of various M cars to satisfy the itch and decide if you want to move forward on the car in mind or end up with a fleet of M cars.
