You have to be a little more specific in regards to what you need your phone to do
Some people need their music to have great battery life as it will be their primary mp3 player, others need it strictly for email/msn etc
Everyone could tell you what phone THEY think is great, however you may not feel the same way.

^^ Unless you don't get a data plan, or if you need mms. Also the problem of always needing to unlock/jailbreak it after every update.
