HOW TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION ON RS V1.1
I know a lot of you guys complain that the search function on RS sucks. I dont know how to get around it BUT i notice its pretty damn good if u know how to use it.
skip the regular drop down menu, and go to the "advanced search". or you can go directly to this link. http://www.revscene.net/forums/search.php
Fill in your search criteria, doesnt even have to be all that much, and voila
IT WORKS!!!

No, it doesn't work.
I just tested again, and the search still doesn't work properly, even if you go through Advanced Search.
Refer to this thread: http://www.revscene.net/forums/something-wrong-search-t565412.html?t=565412
Just now, I repeated this test with the word "upper", first in all open forums, and then specificially in the VOT forum, and tons of newer results appear in the second search, but not the first. Both searches were done through Advanced Search.
change the search criteria to "titles only"
i find im able to find just about anything when you change that.

Well, first of all, just searching titles means you'll miss a lot of threads you're looking for. I know a lot of the time in the past, I remember certain words that I would want to look for inside the thread, but not in the title.
Secondly, it still doesn't work.
I just tested again with "upper" and searching titles only.
Doing it only for the VOT forum yielded a result I posted from 2009-02-21.
Doing it on ALL open forums, that same thread was not listed.
maybe because upper is too vague of a word. your search criteria by default only shows threads within the last month or last year of posting. thus if ur looking for a really old thread, you have to widen that search even more.
