Can't send picture messages on my phone...

I'm currently on Fido Pay-as-you-go. My previous phone was a SE Cedar "dumb" phone. To send picture messages, I just selected contact, attached the photo, and clicked send. I just upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy ACE, and I can't send any picture messages. I can send regular text messages, but whenever I try to send a picture, it says that message can't be sent and will be sent when service is available? Packet data is on, not sure what the problem is?

EDIT: I think I figured it out, my APN settings are blank, just have to find out the APN settings on the Fido forums.

You probably don't have MMS enabled on your account. Call customer service.

Quick update, I finally got it to work with these settings, but I have to turn on data roaming for it to work? Is this normal? I'm on pay-as-you-go and don't want roaming charges to deplete my account If I stay within BC, there should be no additional roaming charges though?

Spoiler!
Ah...you probably have an older SIM card. Remember, Rogers bought Fido out way back so with the age of your SIM, it's very likely that the network doesn't see you as a "home" subscriber but rather a foreign user.

To answer your question, no. You will NOT be charged data roaming as long as you are in Canada.

^Yes, I have an old sim card from about 8 to 10 years ago. Anyways, glad to hear no roaming charge in Canada. Thanks
