Slow Internet and new iPhone/iOS?
 

My Shaw has been bogging down on/off the last few days. I thought it was a problem with Shaw (since people have been complaining), but it's actually a problem with my iPhone/iOS 5 while it's trying to backup to iCloud.

I've verified this on my system where my ping goes sky-high and my transfer rates drop way down when my iPhone is wirelessly connected AND plugged into a charger. When your iPhone is locked, plugged in and connected to wireless it will then proceed to backup to iCloud.

I can literally unplug my charger and within seconds my speed is back to normal. Plugging my iPhone back into my charger and within a minute (after it decides it can start backing up) my speed drops.

I've submitted a ticket to Apple, but just wondering how many other people might be having issues and assumed it was Shaw.
