Hearing Gpu Through Speakers
Anyone know how to fix this? I'm running an external firewire interface to my studio monitors and recently when I run a game I can hear the GPU on my right moniter. It's pretty annoying lol
|
It's caused by a ground loop. Are the amplifier and computer plugged into the same surge protector ?
|
yeah lol
edit: only happens when i open games that require 3d AND goes away when i disconnect my screen from the computer but not when i unplug its power |
no fixes? its getting kinda annoying
|
Have you tried plugging the computer and speaker amplifier into separate power sources (different outlets) ?
Does your power supply in your computer have a ground wire, per chance ? |
yup i have when i alt tab out of the games the sound goes away but when i alt tab back in it comes back again. I can hear the game sounds clearly even when im alt tabed out but when i alt tab back in it comes outta no where
edit: exact same issue as me |
bump

It's probably because your cheap video card has cheap electrolytic capacitors. Only fix is to get a new one

edit: only happens to studio monitors |
OK that's weird then.

Okay so it turns out to be a ground loop between the monitors and the computer. Don't really know how to fix this but a temporary fix was using the 3 prong-2 prong converters but i know its not safe and I'm still looking for a fix, if anyone has one..

solved it by telescoping woohoo now i can enjoy gaming with studio monitors
