Maserati released official photos of its sedan, the Ghibli. The car will debut at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 20th.

A beautiful car. What do you think about the name? Can it compete with the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E Class? Maserati's goal is to sell 50,000 of these cars per year by 2015.

-eight speed automatic transmission.
-rear wheel drive or the new Q4 all wheel drive system.
-3 litre turborcharged V6 engines, gas and diesel.

I can see that being very successful. Their only issue will be having a dealer network capable of serving an increased amount of clientele.

the name sucks...the car is sick but the front end looks to much like the quattroporte

Don't like the taillights..

I agree with you. They look too much like every other manufacturers mid-sized vehicle's tail lights. (Kia Optima)

If someone mentioned a car named "ghibli", I instantly imagine some sort of goofy looking hatchback that'll look like a fiat 500 :suspicious:

I think the exterior looks a lot like an Audi A7. That interior is awesome

I don't know why but the front reminds me of the CX-5...still got the aggresiveness of a Maserati

I'd buy that over an E-Class or 5-series any day. So sexy. Except the rear end.. what the heck were they thinking?

IMHO, the front looks a little like the new BMW 3 series.

But... a little more aggressive.

I agree with many of the responses in that the BACK looks too normal for such an expensive price point.
