Nexus and speeding ticket?
 

Hey guys, I applied to nexus and I have an interview coming up in July at Blaine. I recently got a speeding ticket in Ohio and I was not planning on paying it (tight on money, and I don't see myself going back to Ohio ever again). Would that jeopardize my nexus application? What affiliation do county governments have with the border?

you are in a world of pain. if you are lucky, pay it and that will be end of it.

Either pay the ticket ASAP or skip the interview if you still are not planning on paying the ticket.

If you go to interview without paying ticket first......

I got a parking ticket in Ohio before... I paid the ticket however the information on the ticket and what i inputted on the payment website was a little bit off. I think I put my whole middle name instead of my initials. Then they sent me a letter stating that I have to withdraw my drivers license from driving IN THE COUNTRY! Meaning I was never allowed to drive in the US at all, it doesn't matter which state I was in, my DL was invalid in the USA.

Luckily i got that all cleared up with a phone call and a faxed letter but yeah, you're in for a world of hurt.

GL OP. I know i replied before but just thought I would give you my experience this time.

why would you even risk something like that especially if you planned on getting a nexus? i don't know how the process works now but one of my buddy's got a speeding ticket in washington, didn't show up for his court day and some how had a warrant issued for his arrest.
