Help me with this sentence - "Has" vs "have"
Hi guys,
For some reason I've been brain farting over the correct use of "has" or "have" in the following sentence: "My industry experience and education has given me the competence to support..." "My industry experience and education have given me the competence to support..." So which is right?:concentrate: |
2nd one i believe

They're both right. The first sentence is referring to your experience and education in past tense. The second one refers to experience and education as a thing and is more present. I'm by all means no English master, but they're both right although it sounds wierd.

I have " has " on my cover letter , went through it with my COMM instructor, and said nothing about it

"My industry experience and education have given me the competence to support..."
Because plural ( X and X have ). |
