Anyone flown Korean Air "Prestige class"?
Heading to Sydney in Feb and flying Korean Air via Seoul on their business class cabin. How is their business class product? I won't be flying the 747-8 from YVR but I am flying the A380 from Seoul to Sydney so excited about that.

I think it's pretty meh 2-2-2 lie flat even on the A380, whereas the 747-8 has their new Apex Suite 2-2-2 suite which is much more awesome. I didn't realize that the 748 flew to Vancouver.... I'll have to get some Delta Skymiles to fly KE again!

I hope to god that isn't the A380 set up. I did that 2,2,2 in an A330-200 - not great (just as not great as all of those seats on any airline).
The new business pods as shown in the 747 are pretty good (i think i flew them on a 777 from Frankfurt to Seoul). If you're tall, you'll have issues (like all Asian carriers) - not quite as bad as the ANA 787 business for length, but I couldn't lay flat (>2M). Food will be great on KE, that's a guarantee (even the western food was good, only did that as they ran out of the Korean dishes - the had to pick on the white guy to force the western food on, wtf). |
From all the reviews it seems like the 747-8 has the best seats, supposedly they're upgrading their cabins but doubt I'll see an updated aircraft when I go. I am excited to check out the A380 and the bar setup they have.
My return trip is on Cathay so happy with that. |

Guaranteed aisle access is a must in J, unless of course you are travelling with a companion.
