looks like they are gone now, its now some new noodle place. wondered what happened, they had been in there for years

That noodle place has been there for a couple weeks now. They must've moved right in as soon as AWK closed down as I went there in late October. Little did I know it would be my last time. They were one of my favourite restaurants and had the best pepper salt squid (jiu yim sin yau).

Been to AWK a few times and every time I'm there, I just ask myself why; it's filthy. Hopefully this means they'll do some renos.

Went to 香港味道 last week just a few blocks down. Food was pretty good if you're looking for a casual dining place.

AWK was pretty good not gonna lie. But their shit was a bit too salty for my taste

Did the new place bother to do any sort of renovations? I've always found AWK to be a bit old skool untidy, and the floors can definitely use a little more clean up so that it doesn't feel greasy when you walk on it.
