alcohol duty and tax questions
 

the rules state that if you travel for 7 days or more, we would be exempt from 1 1.5l alcohol bottle.

does this mean if i buy a bottle of louis xiii at the peacearch duty free i would not have to pay tax on it when i come back?

the bottle is $3900 right now at peace arch.

the gov website are not clear about it and wanted to see if anyone has gone over $800 on a bottle of alcohol and not paid any extra duty/taxes on top.

rules say volume not value....
