today we had a current playing with the boat in the middle of teh run, but other then that it was nice. teh week b4 we went out on a long diatance practice run, and went head on into sweels, and waves that are taller then me, it was merkey water, and ppl were saying there were plenty hammer heads living in this area. we have an awsome line up though which helped a lot.
in case you all wanted to know, this is kinda what paddeling is like, and this is our line up. it has been rated one of the harder sports to do, because it is a 100% full body work out.
1st seat (stroker, he is responcible for the pace)
Dillin, about 175 lbs, spent time in the millitary doing a lot of marching.
2nd seat (responcible for calling changes, and bringing the pace to the other side of the boat)
Deonis, about 165-175 lbs, swiss guy who loves sports, and the ocean.
3rd seat ( #3 & #4 are responcible for the power of the boat, often called the motor of the boat)
Caleb, 185-190 lbs, drywaller who lives to work out, and is always fryed.
4th seat (also responcible for the power of the boat)
Me, 200 lbs CANADIAN!!!!!
5th seat (brings a bit for power, but pritty much just paddles, or bails water when you are spearing into waves)
"frinchie", about 150 lbs, 55 year old friench guy who just wants to show he can still keep up with the younger guys
6th seat (stears man, he stears the boat, and yells at us when we are fucking up, or when he wants more power)
