Part 3: The Eagle's Nest

On the bus on the way...heh...while walking.

This is the view from the top of the mountain where you see the next picture. I ran all the way up...it was crazy since it was like...35 degrees out.

The cross with an Edelweiss on it...

Dunno if you guys know this by this flower only grows at the top of the mountains. The Nazis used to wear them to symbolize how they were warriors. They would climb up the mountain with absolutely nothing...as a training exercise just to get the flower.

If you've seen Band of Brothers...this is the room that Major Winter's walks into and tells them the war is over...in the European theater.
