Check for vaccuum leaks first, you can usually hear a vaccuum leak if its that bad, but if not then you can always use acetylene or propane or anything for that matter, even brake cleans works if you spray it around. All you want to do is spray or bleed this stuff around the engine around vaccuum lines and suspicious areas and see if your engine rpms come up at all... even if you have to have someone hold the throttle open a tiny bit so it will idle, the rpm will still increase when its enriched with the gas or solution you are spraying around. That should pinpoint it fairly well. If no vaccuum leaks are found then i would check and adjust your TPS. These both cost you nothing but time and are the more likely causing of rough or no idling.
