hey all..

hope everybody's doing well... i miss hanging out with you guys~!

quick update:
currently in beijing... been here for 6 weeks... it's a big city, quite different from the 604, not to mention chinese traditions and customs.... lots to learn, lots to adapt to.. fun none the less....

i've been hired by the sheraton great wall here in beijing, and just waiting for paper work and my working visa to come around before i start working...

i'll be starting from the bottom... working front desk at the hotel to start... and making about $300 cdn a month to start.. it's shitty pay, but standard of living here is pretty shitty too... plus i've got a lil' money saved up so hopefully it won't be too big of a problem.. i'm here for experience so money ain't a thang.... then again, i've got quite an advantage here with my communication skills and english... couple that with the fact that the person who hired me seems to really like me and is from the states himself, i hope to climb that ladder a lil' faster than others... maybe get transferred back to the sheraton wall centre in vancouver or another cool place like the states, or somewhere in europe... i'm optimistic but gonna have to work hard and pay my dues.... \

party scene here is crazy... they party wed, thurs, fri, and sat. nights... clubs everywhere, pubs everywhere... the talent level here is pretty high... lotsa girls everywhere and the ratio is often much better for guys... of course, it helps that local guys aren't all that great looking... i've met a bunch of ppl from san fran, la, vancouver, toronto and other north american cities... lots of foreign people here.. and many of the clubs and pubs here actually have more caucasian people than chinese ppl.. it's quite amusing cuz apparently, where there are the most foreign people, are the most popular places.....

either way, if any of you come to beijing, make sure you drop me a pm... i'll keep checking from time to time ....
