(These are in response to the posts on the pic thread hehe...thought I"d keep the chit-chat here and keep the pic thread clean)

bmwwheelman: thankfully ALL 1st gen S10s came w/ a mini front-skidplate as well as a guard over the gas tank (the lowest point of my truck, I think). So the oil pan is safe and sound...also, since it's a fairly tall vehicle (as far as the hood goes, anyways) they could afford to not have the engine mounted super low....as much as I drag gas tank, exhaust, frame, leaf hangers, transmission, etc I've never ONCE touched oil pan....*knock on wood
