I'd like to shoot animals, cars, and sometimes portraits... like people and stuff...

I got quite a bit hang of it on playing around with shutter speed and aperture.... I rarely use the auto mode on the S5000...

but then the things is that camera's specs are kinda falling behind me.
- 3 MPX effective (althought it does have a mode that says 6MP)
- only up to ISO400 for full resolution, ISO800 is 1MP only
- No cable release adaptor nor flash hotshoe

so I am kind of debating on rather to get the S9000 or just get a real DSLR... but then again I don't want to spend that much...
