The 70-200 F4 is an awesome lens for sure...I miss mine, wish i had kept it (sold it for a 70-200 2.8 IS) as a lighter alternative on more casual shoots.

You're talking about the wrong lens. The 75-300 IS USM is crap. The NEW 70-300 IS is producing very nice results. I've seen some top knotch L quality photos.
