Argh... *Rant* so i got a letter from icbc saying that to date the amount owed on my claim from rear-ending that guy back in december of '04 was $2946.30 and if this amount was paid within 30 days of getting this letter then my insruance would not go up. The guy didnt really get a settlement it was more just the amount of the vehicle as well as some payments on a few bills by the looks of it.. the vehicle amount was $2100.... here is where i get annoyed:

My insurance went up in June of '05, i paid insurance on my truck at its new rates untill December of that year. So, confused by the way the leter was written i called icbc and asked them to explain it. Apperently i should have gotten a letter of renewal sometime before i renewed my insurance stating that this is what i owed to date, and if i were to pay it i would not have my insurance go up. Well, i didnt get the letter. I was told the day i went in that it would go from this, to that.

So.. long rant short, i dont have the option of paying the amount and having my insurance going back down to where it was. A) it's not considered a "small" (under 3 grand) claim so i cant pay it anyways and B) i have already made payments on the new rates

so why the hell would they send me that letter? grrr.. sorry for the huge rant.. im just really irritated at icbc. for something new
