lmfao dude, KL couldn't possibly be further from feeling like iraq, you're only saying that because its heavily populated by muslims. its just like any major westernized metropolis.
If you want to go somehwere in the malaysian peninsula that feels like the middle east, head further north to places like
Kota Bharu. Now THAT is an authentic, fundamentalist muslim experience. when i came through there it was shortly after 9/11 and we were warned by border officials to ensure we observed traditional muslim dress "attire" (ie all joints of the body being covered, head to toe) and that we avoid looking like we were american (easy with our maple leaf patches). That sucked because it was extremely hot, but as we rolled into a town and saw the burning american flag and all the anti american sentiment, we quickly decided to suck it up and bear the heat.
anyways, nice try on the petronas towers. i think its almost impossible to get a truly well composed shot of those without having access to say... a helicopter.
