comparing the Fujifilm S5200 and the Sony DSC-H2, which do you think is "better" overall? I'm looking for a camera that is more powerful than a standard fashionable point-and-shoot (having a large lens and plenty of optical zoom is very important to me). good image stabilization is critical too. Neither has an articulating LCD, which I would have preferred. Poking around, it seems that I can get the Fuji for about $100 less than the Sony.

edit: also comparing to the Canon S3 IS, if possible, which is about $100 more than the Sony.

I found this on dpreview:
Quote:
Of the current crop of 5/6 megapixel super zoom cameras the H2 is still, by a whisker, my personal favorite, and is in many respects a better camera than its high profile competitor, the Canon S3 IS. That it costs a good $100 less than the S3 IS is just the icing on the cake, and will for many I suspect seal the deal.
edit2: what about the panasonic fz7? seems to be in the same range as the h2 and s3, but it's cheaper, lighter, and uses lithium ion batteries
