I have a Sandisk Ultra II microSD and I'm like 5 hours into the game and have not had any freezes or slowdown whatsoever :P
You might say that I'm just lucky.. But I can assure you that I'm definitely not a lucky person :P
P.S. Maybe try using DMA mode when you output the rom?

I think I'm near the end of the game.
But I keep on getting my ass handed to me. This castlevania is like 10000x harder then the other ones for some reason
