man if you're hating the GTE so bad give it to me . It would go very nicely into my 87 haha. yeah the t-stat is a bit of a bitch, if you hate the oil filter location you *can* get filter relocation kits, they aren't too expensive. I never had any trouble with the oil spilling on my GE, you just have to wait long enough for it to drain out nicely.
