i remember when RS first started, when the discussions were smarter, the posts were wittier, and the members were... eh, better than now.
i've been a member of this board since someone close to me forced me to join it, making me the eighth or so member (something i suppose i
should be ashamed of
). i've seen members come and go as i lurked on here and didn't post much, although every now and then someone would piss me off so much that i'd really want to say something.
but now, as i have hit my upteenth post, i see a new trend of members. stupid, ignorant, mindless idiots who do nothing on RS but annoy everyone else. they are hard to break when arguing with their stupidity but are easily threatened when confronted with intellect. they pick fights, they start shit, they attempt to offend other members. they treat the internet as their life and all that is said to them are personal attacks; they are the lost souls which cannot be saved.
i'll admit -- some people (including myself) can be mean and stubborn when it comes to discussions on this board. but i'll take strong convictions over painful ignorance any day.
RS has gone downhill because of these members. i guess there's nothing to do but just bitch and moan about it. which is precisely the purpose of this thread.
