The icon is the same in all versions of Photoshop. That icon is a very simplified stick/wire with a piece of paper cut in to a circle taped to it. If you've never been in the wet darkroom, you wouldn't know what it is. Don't overdo it in PS...if there's no detail in the image, all you're going to get is a cloudy blob.
If you're ever in Vancouver, I can give you a little demo.
It's actually quite fun. Time consuming, but fun...beats sitting in front of a computer working on CS3.
