Been taking my camera to Giants games for the last three years, including playoff games and even the World Juniors tourney... only once was there ever an issue: at a Giants regular season game, "Host" dude came down to our row and leaned over to tell me I'd have to put my camera away because it was "too big". He couldn't actually define what was "too big" about it - whether it was the lens, or what - and had no answer for why I was even allowed to bring it in if it was "too big". Just insisted that I had to put it away.
Of course, this was halfway through the third period, and I'd walked past him twice at the top of the stairs carrying it, without a word from him. Stupid rent-a-cop.
It's only the EF 75-300 lens, but the body (300D) looks "beefier" than it is because of the battery grip.
Canucks are a lot fussier about it, but one security twit actually told me once that I could use it, and the only limitation was that I couldn't have a lens over 90mm, and if I was seen using it, the camera would be confiscated until after the game... I wondered how my 75-300 would fare if I didn't turn the barrel past the 90mm point, but decided not to actually test the premise...
