Then Megasquirt might be up your alley because it is quite well supported by the older Toyotas. Get the SMT version of Megasquirt for about $500.. you are good to go.

Not to put down on any engines.. I don't think ECUs should cost several times over the engine it is going to lord over!

My friend in England whom I am collaborating on the new heads.. uses a Motec 880 on his M70.. I think it is overpowered for what it is worth.. granted you do get aircraft grade wire harness and connectors!
