Back on topic with another call centre story:
Customer: Where are you from?
Me: I'm up here in Canada
Customer: Canada... y'all are communists, right?
Me:....what?
Customer: You know.. with that commie health care
Me: .....is that a serious question?
Customer: What?
Me: Is this a prank call?
I fixed the customer's issue and then got written up for that piece of dialog (performance assessment). Apparently asking someone too stupid to know about their neighboring country
