If you played Metal gear 1 and 2 and MGS you know that Frank Jaeger aka Grey Fox (Cyborg Ninja) was sent to kill Big Boss in Metal Gear 1 but got captured and Snake was sent in to rescue him and kill Big Boss. In metal gear 2 Frank joins Big Boss and Snake cripples him and kills big boss.

Because of what Snake did to Frank, Dr. Clark experiments on him and turns him into Cyborg Ninja.

Frank Jaeger, at his youth was experimented on by the CIA to be the perfect soldier. He went by the code name Null. Null is Zero, so is he Major Zero from MGS3?

If he is then Frank Jaeger is one of the founders of the Patriots. Also, Zero and Big Boss feuded until Big Boss left to form outer haven. This is where I get confused......because Frank is sent to kill Big Boss.....he then joins big boss....and then when big boss is killed Major Zero has Big Boss put into that life support thing.

Is Jaeger Major Zero?!

No he is not.. you have to play MGS3.. now that after finishing MGS4, this is when you realize how important of a canon MGS3 is as you get to witness, the then eventual founders of the Patriots in action

Major Zero and Grey Fox/Frank Jaegar are 2 completely different characters

Major Zero appears in MGS3 as the Colonel Campbell like supporting character to Naked Snake/Big Boss

another important canon to the series which is sadly, not a whole lot of people that get to play with is MGS Portable Ops for the PSP, which is essentially a sequel to MGS3's storyline and timeline

A character named Gene gets the Philosopher's Legacy, which is then gets defeated by Snake/Big Boss, he then gets handed over the Philosopher's Legacy, while during this time, Gene mentions of a man he has dealt with, the story and game never directly calls the character Major Zero but instead refers to him as the same codename as Null (as Frank Jaegar)

but yes, play MGS3 to fully understand The Patriots and the Legacy
