I'm with naomi on this one for the same exact reasons.
With all the hype on and off RS, personally, Ebisu just isn't my cup of tea. The establishment fails to live up to a standard of a core Downtown establishment but perhaps I have particular and high expectations. I guess different strokes for different folks. Can't keep everybody happy.
