I loved you the only way I knew how
Unconditionally, without a doubt and with all my heart and soul
I knew you felt and did the same
And for that I will always be grateful
Even now I can't pinpoint the exact moment when that all changed but it did
Feelings faded over time
Our friends all thought we were the "perfect couple"
Cause while everyone was breaking up around us, we stayed together
In hindsight, we should have been one of those couples that did break up
But because we were too scared to let go, we held on for the longest time
We stopped communicating and time together became so strained and forced.
