For example. In my place the sub is right next to my computer desk. If I'm sitting at my desk the bass isnt too loud. If I sit at the couch it sounds good. If I go take a shower while I have music on I can actually hear it rattling the wall.

I don't see how a sound wave can "develop." Sound waves don't just magically amplify themselves with nothing. Which way is your sub aimed, that might have something to do with this.
