This isn't about 911s. It's about a guy looking to replace with GTR with something more... interesting. If that's a 911, great. But averaging the sports car experience with practicality will always lead you to a compromise... and why compromise when you can have the best of both worlds?
EDIT: I'd also wager that the R8 mixes sports car ability with daily driver practicality as well as a 911. But niether will cope with inclement conditions
