Ok... That's REALLY freaky! I teach in a preschool nearby and one of the parents lives 3 houses down from the "haunted" house across from Croften Manor. She said that the house has been abandoned for over 15 years. A rich tycoon once lived in it with family but once his family all moved out, he decided that he did not want to live alone in such a big house. He moved somewhere else and never bothered to sell it. Well, he passed on and the house is now abandoned as you have all seen it. The parent does not believe that it is haunted. However, I do know that the house next to it is for sale. Perhaps the neighbours are selling their house because you guys keep breaking into the 'haunted' house and making a big racket in the middle of the night. Or maybe it IS haunted! Who knows? I certainly don't want to know anymore. The door that leads to the outside on the top floor? Well, there is supposed to be a balcony. But that was taken off because it needed some maintenance work. Never bothered to put it back up. I really wonder why no realtor wants to try to sell the house cos it's a perfectly good house. Taxes on that property must be enormous especially for so many years! They should give it the Squatters or shelter the families in need or something. Oh well.
