How do you get three years from that? I would say it doubles roughly every year, so next year, we might see 32GB, in two years 64GB... etc... and then in six years, 1TB... but even then it might not happen.

I mean, the rate of hard drive capacity increases has slowed down dramatically in the last few years, nowhere near double.

My guess would be that the increase of capacities of SD cards will slow down way before it ever reaches 1TB.
