The CFA, CFP and just about everything else is great if you like putting your brain through a meat grinder because they are very challenging courses. The amount of value you get however has little to do with the material you learn and more about actually getting in there and doing it, and trying it.
Looking back I would have been better off to take a degree in Psychology.

If someone wants to say you're an idiot who cares. Everyone has got to start somewhere and the CSC is step one. At least you're starting the journey. Where it takes you isn't important just so long as you're happy with the results. I've never been one for books much anyways
