what's with the "SynchroRev Match Manual Transmission"? Is this a new technology?

I read a little about it on the Nissan's site. When this thing is on, you can just downshift and the computer will do all the rev matching for you. So no more manual rev matching? where's the fun in that

driving takes less and less skills.....

What do you guys think of this SynchroRev Match MT?
