i have 2 RV042 connecting directly right now...
i'm not sure how I can set it to use the HK RV042 as gateway, but I don't think the RV042 could give me a high VPN throughput as commercial grade equipment either. i'm not too familiar with those cisco stuff.... the guy that set the thing up for me said that the RV042 is not capable of gateway forwarding for a fixed VPN network, but only works as PPTP. I'm also not too familiar with DD-WRT systems.

another problem i currently have right now is that the VPN is currently just setup with the 2nd office. The line there is a dedicated 10Mb with dynamic IP and it disconnects a lot.

I've read a few things on HKEPC forum and they have been vaguely talking about how to get things setup, but that forum doesn't allow registration anymore so I couldn't ask them directly... I wanna see if ppl on RS have any expertise on VPN since quite a few of u are network admin here.

My primary objective is basically using it to gain unrestricted access to the outside world in china and secondary would be having the offices connected. Having a 100Mb line in china is pretty useless when accessing anything outside the country would be as slow as dial up.
