After a quite frustrating period of time to get my new D Link router to work, I finally got it to suppourt internet on my comp, and my laptop. I can do a google search fine, but when i click a link, the connection drops (internet LED goes black). I have quite limited knowledge of technical computer stuff and looking through other peoples router posts and googling this question has not solved the solution. I have adsl which requires me to manually set my tcp/ip settings, I dont know if that is a factor in anything, but I had to reset some of them to router IP's to get the internet to work, but after changing them back to my normal settings, the router still showed internet connection but I couldnt connect to anything. I have a feeling the solution isnt that hard, I just cant figure it out, any help is appreciated.
