What you have to do is take the settings that were on your computer and put them in the router. That would be IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS('s). Then on your computer, you should be able to set your IP address to automatically detect (DHCP), and your router will give your computer an address.

You can verify your IP address by going to Start > Run. Type CMD in the box and click OK. A black window will open. Type IPCONFIG, and press enter. Your IP address should be something like 192.168.1.x.
