The cost depends entirely on the club and the total number of drivers. The bigger tracks are usually a bit cheaper because they can put more cars on the track at once.
Most track days are between $180 and $300 dollars. A $300 private track day will usually give you so much seat time that you literally have to get out and rest. A $180 track day will probably give you four 20min sessions. (enough for most people)
MOST clubs require rollover protection for track days. For example, Boxsters and 996's and newer do not need a roll bar. Earlier 911 convertibles require an aftermarket roll
bar. The roll bar is supposed to be able to provide enough clearance to clear your helmet when seated, (I use a broomstick to test this) and to not collapse when inverted. (therefore, cosmetic roll hoops do not qualify)
SOME clubs do not require any rollover protection and, for example, will let stock miatas run without the hardtop.
