I personally think every company, country, group of people that do something, strive to be the best in the world and beat out all competition. Some are just better than others or some just don't put in the work to get far.
Everyone wants world domination, always made sense to me that way.

it's one thing to strive to be the best in your field, but when you try to spread out and take over other fields, I find the quality isn't as good as you're now outside of what you originally intended to do. thats just my opinion though.
